Safelog for BlackBerry™ Installation Page

Safelog for BlackBerry

From this page, you can download and install Safelog for BlackBerry™ to your handheld device.

You can do this even if you don't have a Safelog for BlackBerry™ subscription; in fact, we highly recommend that you do this before you subscribe to see if the software will work on your device.

Current version
1.0.2.3

There are two ways to Install Safelog for BlackBerry™:

  • Method 1:   Over-the-Air Installation. This works if you can connect to a given web page from your BlackBerry™'s built-in web browser. Try this one if you can't get the above to work.
  • Method 2:   BlackBerry™ Application Desktop Loader. Like method 1, this requires that your BlackBerry™ be connected to your PC via a USB cable.

To install Safelog for BlackBerry™, scroll down to the method of your choice and follow the instructions provided there.

Method 1: Over-the-Air Installation

To use this method, start your web browser on your BlackBerry™ device and visit:

http://www.safelogweb.com/install/bb/Safelog42.jad

Warning: you need to type in the above address exactly for this to work!

Once there, follow the instruction screens to install the software. They will generally look something like this:

OTA Installation

Method 2: BlackBerry™ Application Desktop Loader

Application Loader
  1. Download zipped Safelog application files from here.
Unzip to a folder in your PC. You should get two files: Safelog42.alx and Safelog42.cod

  2. Launch Application Loader from BlackBerry™ Desktop Manager.
The Application Loader Wizard welcome screen appears. Click the Next button.

  3. Enter your password, and then click Next.
If your handheld isn't connected properly, you see the Communication Port Selection screen. Connect your BlackBerry™ to the USB cable and make sure that the USB cable is connected to the PC. Then click Next.
The Handheld Application Selection screen appears. This screen lists the applications that are already installed on your BlackBerry™.

  4. Click the Add button.
An Open file dialog box appears; locate Safelog42.alx and click Open.
You return to the Handheld Application Selection.

  5. Click Next.
    Confirmation screen appears; click Finish.

  6. The installation process starts, and a progress window appears.
If all went well - the progress window disappears and Safelog is on your BlackBerry™.
